Desktop Whatever: Ghee Teo's thoughts on Desktop Whatever

Attended a couple of talks in the morning, the GIMP tutorial was interesting. It shows many of the things that can be done like - ereasing someone out from a picture, make some object focus to the foreground and fading the background, image enhancing using various filters. The talk on usability in GNOME & Usability in Military Systems, Kathy Fernandes was interesting too. Very positive, but usability really needs to be better documentated and consistent to make it acceptable in that environment.
