Messenger Bags

Today our team received gifts from Macromedia, Inc.
The gift for every Sun-side team member is Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag, medium size, red color, with FlashMX 2004 sign.
There are too many belts on the bag, I don't know some belt's usage, and there's no user guide. //shrug

Macromedia sent us gifts to thank our hardwork on making Flashplayer 7 Linux version.
Macromedia released it on May 26.
Some snips from the news, "We are pleased to have worked closely with Macromedia to help bring Flash Player 7 to the Linux platform," said Curtis Sasaki, vice president of desktop solutions, Sun Microsystems. "The integration of Flash Player 7 into the Sun Java Desktop System will enable our joint customers to view the rich, interactive Flash content that is so widely used on websites worldwide."

The release Flashplayer 7 Linux version is another step into the direction of creating a platform independent virtual machine for Macromedia Rich Internet Applications. It supports Macromedia Flex, the Enterprise solution for rich media Internet applications.

Sun Shines Brightly on Linux Desktop

Great news!
Sun Shines Brightly on Linux Desktop
Sun's Java Desktop System 2 edges Red Hat Desktop for enterprise readiness in eWEEK Labs' tests.

For me, JDS2 is my work environment, but I didn't ever tried Redhat Desktop, I'd like to try it and find what we can learn from it, and what's the difference, especially for Mozilla.

Wish JDS3 be a great success again.

2004-06-22 is the Dragon-Boat Festival

The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a significant holiday celebrated in China, and the one with the longest history.

The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs to attempts to rescue the patriotic poet Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan drowned on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese citizens now throw bamboo leaves filled with cooked rice into the water. Therefore the fish could eat the rice rather than the hero poet. This later on turned into the custom of eating zongzi.
(Zongzi: glutinous rice dumpling;dumpling made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leeves)

But I didn't eat zongzi yesterday. I had Subway BMT sandwich for supper instead.

1 hour before, Italy's UEFA EURO 2004 campaign ends at the group stage despite victory as Denmark and Sweden draw in Porto. Unbelievable game, Jonson of Sweden kicked a goal at 89 min, Cassano of Itlay kicked a goal at 90+4 min. Sweden's late equaliser made Cassano's last-gasp winner academic. Italy got 5 pts and didn't lose any match, but they were out. Winner is not enough.
