my brother is going to focus on solely on completing his mba at santa clara university for the next year ... very cool. sounds like he is having fun, learning a ton and hanging with good people ... which is what it is all about in the end. i've had the good fortune to have worked on applications with two of my brothers in the past and look forward to splitting beers and hearing what dave has in mind post mba as he is one of the saviest business folk i've had the good fortune to work with.

looks like i ran into a 24hr flu post javaone. not an optimal way to start out one's vacation but i am feeling better now after alot of rest.

re the build re-work i've been working as of late i now have a system that is completely portable, consistent and instrumentable. the end results are 255 lines of ant/rhino and 40 lines of shell. unfortunately i opted to move the cvs add/commit invocations to shell as i ran into trouble with this logic when invoked from ant. i believe it has something to do with current working directory. if anyone has gems on how best to implement cvs add/commit into ant where the file set can vary over time please do share.

today is the first day of a 2 week vacation ... yeah baby, yeah. java one was killer this year. killer cool actually and on many dimensions. java is everywhere ... it is in the fabric. it can only get better.
