trey :: school :: chat about it
trey is growing up. too fast if you ask me. our mission, to land the lad in a nice school that doesn't break the bank. tonight we attended the village school open house. we were very impressed. for grades k-5 there are only 150 students in the school. the environment felt quite comfortable and very hands on. i believe they plan to grow to 170 students this fall. parents are required to commit to 3h/w as staff. this, by definition and design, injects a tremendous amount of diversity into the program. net effect, a mico-community. they appear to manage supplies well (which is critical) and further go out of their way to not force upon the familys and kids to raise money by going door-to-door, etc but instead organizing family events. fun and for a good cause. camping events. stuff like that. feels right. katie middlebrook, principal, is very cool. i hope everything works out for trey's enrollment. this fall looks to be shaping up to be alot of fun. blogs :: myjxta :: dialog :: chat about it
a handful of my citizen blog peers have added swag "chat" links to thier sites: i truly appreciate folks kicking these ideas around. great dialog. great ideas. all grounded in very real world activities. just the way it should be. make it real! further, when i have run into a brick wall, for various reasons, i tend to turn more often or not to those that post here at blogs.sun.com. to a certain degree, i know these folks although i have never met most and have more often then not never corresponded with most other then via the occassional email and now myjxta where the dialog seemlessly continues. such is the case with a troubling issue i have been dealing with over the last couple of days. my blogs.sun.com compadres are tremendously reliable. the communications, engineer-to-engineer, are just about as free flowing as it could ever be. it feels like old school sun. a prevailing attitude of "why not" vs "why." stuff like that of which nothing but gooodness emerges. personally, i would have it no other way. good times.
