myjxta :: jnlp :: chat about it
with the help of the most excellent webstart crew we fixed a problem where by some clients would not pull all the jars resulting in a "class not found" exception. with this one in the bag we should go back over our jnlp files to further refine and normalized the data knowing what we learned. and what did we learn ... that the package element can effectively filter out jars from the hosting runtime. this was the case for a jar that was actually hosted in another jnlp that was referenced as an extension. if you'd like to test out the latest work and provide your feedback, good, bad or ugly, feel free to try the use it link below. fasten seat belts and have some fun. as i said, i should spend some time and tighten up the jnlp call stack. one down and one fewer remain. onwards and upwards.
