Hooray, I'm an Uncle Now!
This little bundle was delivered to my brother and sister-in-law less than a month ago. Don't let the peaceful expression fool you, folks! This one's quite robust—I'm told he cries himself hoarse sometimes.
I always wonder when a baby first experiences consciousness. Is it not until they begin learning language, or does it happen as early as while they're still in the womb? Does awareness gradually fade into existence, or does it suddenly ignite? Life is amazing.
