Please tune in to the latest edition of
Innovating@Sun as host
Hal Stern and his guests, Jim Manico, GIAC GSEC Professional and Certified Java Programmer and Scott Mattoon, Chief Architect, discuss their work with
Architecture for Humanity, specifically the
Open Architecture Network.
The Open Architecture Network is the brainchild of Architecture for Humanity and the designers and local chapters who volunteer. It grew out of their collective frustration in sharing ideas and trying to work together to address shelter needs after disaster, in informal settlements and in their own communities. The Open Architecture Network is an online, open source community dedicated to improving living conditions through innovative and sustainable design.
Hal, Jim and Scott have been involved in this project since last year's
TED Conference, when
Cameron Sinclair, co-founder and executive director of Architecture for Humanity, won the prestigious
TED Prize and had a dream to create architecture solutions to humanitarian crises and brings design services to communities in need.
This is exciting stuff - you don't want to miss it!!
