Friday March 25, 2005 Chubby J2ME cell phone from LG (model F9100)
Here is the new LG F9100 which is available from Cingular in the U.S. It's a fat (phat?) phone because it hides a sideways slide-out keyboard for doing serious text messaging (in Landscape Mode instead of normal Portrait Mode). See: If you look at their press release and the article above, you'll see they report their Java Jbenchmark results (1/2: 828/38) at the bottom of the article. Interesting that companies are starting to report how fast their Java VMs run benchmarks. Jbenchmark is like the MPG of cell phones. Or, more like the 0-60 acceleration number of cell phones. ;-) Vrrrooom! |
