PSPP? pPhone? pspPhone? PP? Whatever you call it, use Java ME 3D graphics

Whatever you call it (pPhone, pspPhone, hmmmm... PP? nah, not so much...), there are rumors that Sony Ericsson is working on a PlayStation Portable Gaming Phone. 2Kewl.

See:

Sony Ericsson's rumor of Java ME gaming phone

Here's a quote:

 3D would be another necessity,
 and again Sony Ericsson has
form in this area, with the
 majority of its new phones
 supporting 3D Java via
 software-rendering. However,
 you'd really expect a
 PlayStation Phone to have 3D
 hardware inside to give it
 proper grunt, and to compete
 with the new N-Gage phones.
Remember, that Java ME 3D graphics can be supported via graphics hardware on the cell phone too. Good way to get fast 3D graphics for gaming while keeping the same Java 3D APIs you find everywhere. Doom, Quake, Hello Kitty 3D, no problem.
