News from JavaOne: Now Verizon does Java ME tech; Who's next, Apple?
In case you missed it at the JavaOne 2009 conference last week, Verizon finally gave in and agreed to allow Java ME apps and games on their wireless network. They finally see the light and agree that there is high value for Java ME on cell phones. Now, we just have to wait until Apple finally has their epiphany on why they should put Java ME on their iPhone and iPod Touch.

Verizon sees the light
Here's a quote:
However, due to the carrier's
newly opened stance toward
networks and applications,
he said Verizon Wireless will
embrace Java technology--and
will provide Java developers
clear access to Verizon
Wireless' network and
customers.
Hallelujah! They see the light! The truth shines bright! :-)
