BlackBerry Storm's a comin'... with Java ME technology

There's talk that the new BlackBerry Storm with its fancy touchscreen nastiness, will be an iPhone-killer. You know it. It's all that. It's got Java ME technology.

See:

BlackBerry Storm is All That - w/Java ME Technology

Here's a quote:

RIM's latest smartphones use a refreshed
version of the BlackBerry user interface,
and one in particular -- the touchscreen
 BlackBerry Storm -- has functionality
that has not been available in the line
before. The new tools, released on
 Wednesday, allow developers to address
the new capabilities of these handsets.

The tools include two new versions of the
 BlackBerry Java Development Environment
(JDE), as well as desktop simulators for
the Storm, Flip and Bold handsets.
In addition to Java ME technology, it's got the landscape/portrait orientation switchie-thing and an accelerometer too. Nice. I knew there was a reason the CrackBerries keep 'em coming for more.

Has anyone ever tried in getting MIDP-Canvas key handling working properly on a BlackBerry with touch screen? Seems like there are issues/restrictions on various BB models.
