Clash of the Titan: Sprint Titan next generation mobile Java platform
|
There was a lot of good stuff from this year's JavaOne conference (and some not so good stuff with a teensy problem with the Norovirus :-P :-) ). Sprint promoted their Titan specification at JavaOne this year. Cool stuff. See: Sprint Titan: Next Gen Java ME technology Here's a quote: To help developers remain involved in creating applications for Sprint, the company is using JavaOne to promote Titan, its next generation mobile Java platform that utilizes tools and resources traditionally used for desktop program development. Here is some more info about Titans (as they are defined in Greek Mythology) from Wikipedia: "The Titans later gave birth to other Titans, notably the children of Hyperion (Helios, Eos, and Selene), the daughters of Coeus (Leto and Asteria), and the sons of Iapetus — Prometheus..." So, the daughters of the Titan named Coeus, were Leto and Asteria. I guess if you were going to create project code names, you'd have a plethora of ideas by just looking at Greek mythology... or from medical terms. Hmmm... how about calling your next software project, code name: Norovirus? :-) |
