Felica and Java ME tech keep you on the right track

In Japan, Java ME technology-enabled cell phones use Near Field Communication to download info about trains you are about to ride on, by waving your phone in front of an info panel on the train. This way you can tell if you are going to Utsunomiya like you thought for your business meeting, or about to go to Nasu for a honeymoon dip in a hot spring.
