Improve your memory with Java ME technology
They say that your memory is the second thing that goes away as you get older. And, the first thing is... uh... ah... hm... What was the first thing again? Well anyway, if you want to do something about your memory on your Java ME tech-enabled cell phone, here's just the thing. See: eMobiStudio MemoryUp Pro to optimize memory Here's a quote:
Version 3.3 (Sep. 07, 2009) New!
1. Optimization on Auto Boost
Algorithm
2. Fix on "Local Storage Error"
3. Support for automatic hide
4. Optimization on multiple
language support
5. Full support for new Nokia
...
Cool. I've always wanted to tweak my phone's memory usage. I'm not sure why it needs all that memory anyway. When I'm playing an important game of Tetris, I want to know that I will not run out of memory, darnit! ;-)

Can this even work? Java apps have no real access to memory internals, neither in Java ME nor the expanded BlackBerry API. What can this app do besides call System.gc()?

@Chris It's a native app, not a J2ME one.
You can see it with Symbian screenshots, you can't have these UI components with J2ME.

Hi Frédéric,
No, it is not just a native app. There is also a J2ME version (Java ME MIDlet).
See:

(Scroll down to the J2ME screenshot)
You'd have to check with eMobiStudio how they exactly use Java ME technology to free memory, but you should understand that there is more that can be done with Java ME than developers at first assume.
