Later on we'll perspire, walking in a Java ME Widget Wonderland
|
It's a Widget Wonderland with Zumobi's Widgety user interface. In 2nd quarter of 2008, users can use the Java ME version of Zumobi tiles to access, click on, and share content. No more having to remember a long URL to type into a small screen with a limited keypad on your Java ME cell phone. See: Zumobi Widgets for Java ME in Q2 2008 Here's a quote: Aiming to simplify the often tedious task of accessing mobile Web content, Zumobi eschews the traditional mobile Web browser. Instead, phones equipped with the software display up to 16 Zumobi tiles that enlarge when clicked. When the device user clicks on a tile, the content is loaded quickly because it is constantly being updated. The tiles can be easily changed by users and shared with others. The interface is designed to automatically adjust to different devices, including those using touch screens.I'm not sure why they would launch a Windows Mobile version before launching a Java ME version, but hey, it's their nickel. It would've made better sense the other way around. |
