Motorola Q - the new Razr-berry or new Raspberry (Ppppthftpht!)

Here's the new Motorola Q Razr-berry (on the left in the picture). Hmmm... smaller screen but bigger case than the Blackberry, and Microsoft Windows Smartphone operating system? Feh!

See:

At least it's got Java technology on it. But, there's too many negatives. The Q needs to be sent back to the drawing board. Maybe Moto should have stopped with the P... or jumped ahead to the R. (What a silly name for a product!)

I thought I heard that Moto was planning to make the Q available this fall? You mention 'too many negatives' - what would you say are the top 3 vs. the blackberry? I'm looking for a device that will feel more like a phone w/ the functionality of a blackberry. I know RIM came out with the 7100 but it's a gsm phone (as opposed to cdma) which had poor signal quality in my area - I just tested one through T-Mobile (real bad!!). I will use it at least 85% as a phone so I don't want something bulky like a blackberry. Any thoughts? B. Sneed

1. Shorter screen display.

2. Microsoft Windows software less usable.

3. Wider profile (bulkier).
