Rock Stars of the JavaOne 2009 conference

Well, after presenting at 10 JavaOne conferences, I've achieved Rock Star status. Props to the peeps who came to my session and filled out the surveys. I couldn't have done it without you. Your checks are in the mail. ;-)

So, do I get a limo and backstage passes now? (I have a sneaky suspicion this isn't the same thing as Jimmy Page or Pete Townsend...)

Maybe I can offer some perspective on what you're asking for, Hinkmond: do you imagine that rock stars in the music world say things like "I have achieved 'Rock Star status'"?

I'm guessing if you have to actually pronounce the sentence, you probably aren't gonna get a limo driven your way. (for free, that is) :-)

Congratulations, by the way!

Thanks!

And, yes, I do imagine at least Keith Richards saying things like that, but coming out instead, "Wot? Didja say somethin' ta me, mate? No, wait... I forgot wot I was goin' ta say. Oi, wot was I goin' ta say..?"

:-)
