Secret Google Android Comic Discovered: java ME tech mentioned...
|
There are reports that there are secret hidden Google comics out on the Web that are part of Scott McCloud's comic book style intro to the new Google Chrome Web browser which was recently launched this week.
I think I found a secret Google comic related to Google Android (that also mentions Java ME technology): See: Secret Google Android Comic Discovered... So that's Google's game regarding Android: Make fun of the Google Android developer base! Yeah... Way to win over supporters, Google! ;-) (NOTE: Yes, of course this blog post is a parody! It's all in good fun! ;-) ) |

As someone who built a multi-tenant storefront for the JSR 124 reference implementation you would think that I could figure out how to make money with JME. Nope. Where's the MIDlet store? Oh that's right. The OMA would not let it happen because they would lose control. And the carriers would not let developers make a profit. And even if the powers that be see the light, the cost to test JME apps on all the devices that it runs on is prohibitively expensive for startups.

MIDlet store is at:
http://devices.getjar.com/device/
or
http://gallery.mobile9.com/c/java-softwares/1/
or
http://www.gamemobile.co.uk/
or
http://www.midlet.org/index.jsp
or
Etc., etc., etc. (just google Download Mobile Java)
There are ways around the carriers, if you know how...
