Steve Jobs pooches his early iPhone adopters

Stevie-boy, in an act of desperation to prop up his failing non-Java ME iPhone, has cut the price of the ill-fated device by $200 after only 10 weeks. If I were an iPhone early adopter, I'd be hella p*ssed!

Here's a quote:

"I feel like I just got
 punched in the face,"
 said one commenter on
 the MacRumors blog.
 "Fanboy tax indeed."
They should've bought a Java ME technology-enabled cell phone instead... I can't say I didn't warn them. Or, at least they should've waited to buy the just announced touchscreen iPod instead. That way they could put Java ME technology on these new touchscreen iPods (with the swoopy UI just like on the iPhones, with panning and zooming at half the price!). See: Java ME for new touchscreen iPods. Now, that would be cool...
