I am so happy! _can you tell?_ do you know why?_
We've unleashed the compliment to the blog. Its natural younger sister who will take the spot light in the long run. The pre-saga to the Drive Time podcast series. Go to this page to listen to the first episode right away. Sukey Samra from Kwantlen does a great job bringing us into the setup of a really complex IT environment. We have Paula Phipps as the host of this very special session. Her energy is just contagious!
The page has been prepared so that if you want you can send comments and give us your email so that we can keep you up-to-date with the upcoming e.pisode.s.
Remember, the next phase of the podcast will have two great hosts that will stay with us hosting every single episode going forward.

Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
During my coffee break I was thinking how cool it would be to get my blogging fix - but I couldn't. I was nowhere near a computer and I really did not want to spend my coffee break in front of my workstation - but my iPod was with me... lucky me!
As big as blogging is you can't take your favorite blog for a run or to your coffee break or listen to it while making dinner. Star bloggers from the Valley have made blogging an art a passion and a very effective communication tool - but in this rapidly evolving world with highly mobile people aren't we -the bloggers- expecting too much from our audience? To sit in front of a computer to catch up with our blog? What are we - rock stars?
My point is that although blogging has paved the way into a world of fast and uncensored social communication - blogs are just the beginning. Just how many blogs can you read at once without it becoming a burden to your productivity.
We have a parallel universe going on right now -You, the readers and listeners choose what information to receive and under your terms. If you think about it - blogs are to newspapers what podcasts are to radio. Uncensored, direct peer-to-peer communication. Not to mention that video-casts are coming and will make a significant dent in the advertisement profits of normal old-school TV media outlets that are tied to the 30-second spot.
The apocalyptic destruction of many blogs is close. Those who simply don't use podcasting or videocasting as a complement to their blogs will be relegated to a second or third level of "unexpected" low popularity. Media is evolving and people are more mobile than ever before. You can't expect to continue to appeal to all your audience through only one channel. Hybrid channels that interlink audio with video and text will be the ones that will survive this merciless battle for a piece of the consumer's attention.
