Today

With all that is being said about cloud computing nowadays, perhaps we should pause and listed to what Dilbert has to say on the subject

… as he receives the assignment …

… and starts the project.

Whenever you are feeling deprived,  consider the technological advantages we enjoy today and count your many blessings!

Thanks to the Lighter Side of Technology page on ITWorldCanada.com for this gem.

Granted, it was a lower-division course …

Thanks to F-Minus for today’s humor!

My daughter gave me a great card for Father's Day that shared a bit of technical support history from the wise folks at Tundra Comics.  I wonder how you do CTL-ALT-DEL on an abacus!

Thanks to Brad Blumenthal for sharing Despair.com's delightfully wry commentary on Social Media.

It makes me think of my favorite neurotic worldview: "The whole world is crazy except for me and thee ... and I've been wondering about thee, lately!"

My friend Bryan the chiropractor-turned-demolition-contractor (aka GreenBones) emailed me a hilarious photo today - of "missile balloons" chasing a pickup truck.  I think Bryan has a thing for destruction!

I understand that this photo has been around the web for longer than I've been at Sun (I found the photo on an engaget blog post dated September 4, 2004.  That shows how out of touch I am!)

But it occured to me that today, a caption might read a bit different than it did back then.  Perhaps these "missiles" are just retaliatory strikes from GM trying to get back at Toyota for destroying their market share!

Would you like to be a banker in today's economy?

Or ... perhaps we should sacrifice a member of Congress instead?

Just a little reminder from Non Sequitur to watch where you are going when you are Twittering.  The life you save may be your own.

A bit of visual hilarity to end a long, productive day ...

Thanks to Michelle Malkin for the post, David A Stein for the artwork and @mikepfs's tweet which triggered my attention in the first place.

I don't know who put this together, but "Abraham Lincoln on Facebook" is the funniest thing I've seen on the Internet all day.

Enjoy!

Thanks Garry Bartle, for sharing this bit of hilarity.

A Wisconsin woman found a Nokia phone in her bag of potato chips, reported The Consumerist last Friday.

I used to love to find surprises inside of Crackerjacks, but this may be going a bit too far!
