Today

Wednesday night was a coming out party of sorts for OpenPTK, some great technology developed by Derrick Harcey, Scott Fehrman and Terry Sigle. Derrick, Scott and Terry demonstrated their baby at Sun's America's Software Practice partner fair.

From the OpenPTK.org website: "OpenPTK is being proposed as an open source User Provisioning Toolkit exposing API's, Web Services, HTML Taglibs, JSR-168 Portlets with user self-service and administration examples. The architecture supports several pluggable back-end services including Sun's Identity Manager, Sun's Access Manager and LDAPv3."

In my recent assessment of important Identity Management trends, I identified Identity Services as a key part of the Identity Management industry evolution. It is great to see compelling technology as OpenPTK making that possible

Plus, these Sun innovators are also great guys!
