Working late on a Friday afternoon and the Internet goes down. Crucial emails must get out. Downloads from the web are critical. A quick call to CableAmerica confirms that our street whole street has a problem. Arrrrrrrrgggggh!

So it's off to Paradise - Paradise Bakery & Cafe, that is -- complete with free WiFi and great oatmeal raisin cookies. My emailing tasks now done, I can even think about a brief blog post. Not too painful after all!

And there's more ... the intro flash screen on Paradise Bakery's website proclaims, "Since 1976 ... Welcome to Paradise ... Famous for our cookies ... We make it better every day!" Sounds like marriage to my dear wife Claudia. In just two weeks, we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of our own 1976 marriage -- establishing our little corner of paradise!

PS. Someday I'll tell you why Claudia is known as the "Cookie Queen!"
