Web Analysts: Take This Survey

Here is an opportunity to help the web analytics community.  Eris Peterson is running a survey of web analysts.  Taking this survey gives you a 25% discount on a couple of Eric Peterson's books as well as access to the results when published.

Take me to the survey!

Web Analytics and the Sirius/XM Satellite Radio Merger

I found out late last night that Sirius (of which I am a two-radio subscriber) and XM Radio are merging.  There have been rumblings of this for quite some time.  The two companies will complete the merge toward the end of 2007.

Of most interest to me, however, is whose web analytics package will be used.  I've always noticed, when visiting www.sirius.com, that they used campaign IDs (CIDs) in the URL.  So it was apparent that they were using web analytics.  It was only until this announcement that I cared to see who they were using - Google Analytics.  While www.xmradio.com does not appear to be using any web analytics package!

So here's my million dollar question...

When merging the websites becomes necessary, determining whose design stays will be a challenge.  One of the elements guiding design choices will be the web analytics data of the two websites.  So when will Google Analytics be installed on www.xmradio.com to compare the user experience of the two?

And another question...

Will they choose one design entirely over the other, use a mixture of the two, or come up with a completely new design?  Make your prediction!
