I'm at the MySQL company meeting where we've just announced that Sun is aquiring MySQL. Everyone from Sun is excited, and everyone from MySQL that I've talked to so far is excited too. There are a lot of interesting things that we can do together. It's amazing how well the companies fit each other. Similar cultures, goals and markets. Permalink Comments [6]

Developer.com just published their Product of the Year awards, and we did rather well:

• Framework - Java SE 6
• Development Tool - NetBeans IDE
• Wireless/Mobile Development Tool - NetBeans Mobility
• Java Tool - NetBeans IDE
• .NET Tool - Glassfish Web Services Interoperability
• JSR - JSR 223: Scripting for the Java Platform
