No T-Shirt hurling contest this year

We won't be holding the t-shirt hurling contest at JavaOne this year. I should have done all of the prep and announcements a couple of months ago, but I was out sick and mostly unconscious. I've been back at work for a few weeks and it's become clear that the time is too short and life is way too hectic for me to do it properly. There's also the problem that we've got a pile of other contests happening, so JavaOne was getting pretty crowded. These other contests should be fantastic and will allow more people to participate. The early work on them is looking great. Permalink Comments [6]

As long as you are well, everything's fine :)

Life is too short too. Take care of number one because JavaOne will take care of itself. Stay well.

:-( I always really liked the T-shirt hurling. If real software people make their own hardware, really serious software people make their own potentially dangerous hardware. Tell us Jim - did the fire regs finally get too strict? Have they banned indoor rockets?
