A world of exciting events have happened in the last few weeks:

  • NetBeans 6.0.1 Multilingual version released the first week of February. Languages included are Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese. Congratulations to the Brazil developer community for yet again making a valuable contribution to NetBeans! There are so many people to thank. My sincere apologies if I left out someone. Thanks to Marcos, Michel, Wagner, Henrique, Jefferson (G and P), Thiago (G and G), Paulo (C and V), Rodolfo, Fernando, Carlos Fernando, Rogerio, Rubens, Daniele, Bruno, Marcelo, Marli, Leonardo, Augusta.

  • There is a new Localization Update Center allowing translations continually contributed by the community to be easily built and installed for ease of QA and testing. Thanks Jeremie, Masaki, Robert and Rudolf.

  • NetBeans developer and Albanian-language contributor, Ahmet Murati, was happy to inform us that Kosovo is now an independent land. Ahmet has had to endure electrical blackouts and a broken laptop but managed to make contributions to the Albanian version of NetBeans (5.0, 5.5, 6.0), often from internet cafes. Thanks Ahmet for your love of NetBeans and congratulations!
