Tech Days SPB 2
It's DAY TWO of Sun Tech Days St. Petersburg. The Documentation and Localization booth is staffed by the Prague and St. Petersburg JDK and NetBeans writers plus me and one of the Localization engineers from Prague. Of course the local staff speaks Russian and can easily interact with the developers in attendance. The rest of us try to make ourselves useful by handing out surveys, a quiz, giveaways and handouts in Russian about our products, documentation and localization. Or, we engage with those who wish to practice their English.
In addition, Maxym Mykhalchuk, a long-time NetBeans contributor, accompanies us at the booth and showcases the lastest Russian translation of the NetBeans 6.0.1 Platform. He has already established a nice fan club (see photo) of experienced developers and university students.
