I've got a working Solaris 10 JumpStart server running on a Mac host.  I just need to consolidate my notes and post.

A couple of people have asked me for this; sorry for the delay.  It's been a bit hectic this week, but at least my SCSA is out of the way.

By the way, can anyone point me to a how-to for an OpenSolaris JumpStart server?  The process seems to be a little different from Solaris 10.

Hi Jason,

Any word on how to setup a jumpstart server using opensolaris. Having to dig everything on the web to find a decent doc.

Well, I looked around our internal sites, and found a reference to Solaris Express Installation Guide: Custom JumpStart and Advanced Installations (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2396).

It looks promising, but I haven't tested it. Normally I'd just assume it works since this an official doc. But as I recall the official OpenSolaris 2008.05 media (i.e., the one they ship in the mail) is a LiveCD with a directory structure that was totally unfamiliar to me. I'm not sure if this doc is new enough to address the LiveCD-ness.

Can you let me know if this works? I won't have a chance to play with it for a few weeks.

Thanks,
~Jason
