In terms of our larger customers, there's a lot of discussion about clouds and how they utilize them. Some patterns seem to be appearing -- and in some ways is starting to form a level of gentrification. High value applications will continue to exist within their data centers (for a time, maybe forever, who knows!) but they are increasingly interested in using external providers for other applications. gentrification_of_DC01.jpg Some of these decisions are security and risk related, and of course physics -- can I get the data to the remote site, keep it up to date, etc. This has been one of the biggest roadblocks for "cloud" grid infrastructures today. Increasingly customers are also looking at a consistent interface to manage and control these applications, regardless whether they are in their own "cloud" infrastructure -- or remote.
