Hello everyone! My name is Jenn Winger and I am one of the extremely fortunate people to work with the Java marketing team here at Sun on all their outbound marketing programs. Today is an exciting day for all of us in Java land with the annoucement of the JavaFX Preview SDK availability and our morning has been jam packed with lots of activity! I wanted to share with you our podcast series called "This Ain't Your Dad's Java" that Eric Klein, our VP of Java Marketing and David Bryant, Sr. Director of Java Marketing host each week (along with me) to tell you all the latest in the world of Java. Eric and Param Singh sat down last week to talk all things JavaFX so
make sure to stop by iTunes and subscribe to our series.
Tune in each week to see what surprise guests will be joining our hosts as they discuss everything from this week in Java, to the cool new Java toys they can't live without. We would love to hear from you! If you have any questions, suggestions for future episodes, or just want to say hi, please send us an email at: aintyourdadsjava@sun.com and we will make sure to get them into our queue Remember, This Ain't your Dad's Java. Its a whole new arena and we are ready to play.
I am a student and I just want to ask you why sun everytime release any technology they just don't provide adequate resources for student to get a quick lookup of it, I know JavaFX is in early phase and SDKmight be intended only for developers but why they not make a understandable learning path straight away, The only book available on javaFX is outdated in just 1 years and there is nothing available from sun which we can call authentic to start with, I mean for Java it is fine because numerous technologies and wide publicity it had but they and by they I mean you guys also make it really hard for a student to come up with, I mean forums of sun are really supportive ,more supportive then any other forum for a student's lame question but what a brief introduction for lamer's , the link you refer is just the same pain in the a** , they refer to this tut which is simple circle drawing
http://java.sun.com/javafx/tutorials/simple_javafx_nb_app/
but this is really simple copy this and paste there ress tab select option , referring to reader as a robot, if somebody could understand these thing why would he/she read something with a title emphasizing on the word simple, I am searching all over th e net found numerous articles like this, which seems like some kind of marketing gimmick of netbeans , I am a great fan of java technology, and quite frankly of sun as a company but please consider a noob like me for he can you be your new super geek(I am definitely not referring to me)
and please be more informative...

Hi,
Is it only possible to get the PodCast from iTunes? I am a Linux user and even though JavaFX is not available for Linux yet, it would be good to keep up with the latest news.
Thanks.
