JAXP 1.4 -> Mustang Beta, Biodynamic Wine -> You ???
Mustang beta was just released with JAXP 1.4. See the latest JAXP 1.4 Spec & Javadoc & Change Log. Future posts will highlite the inclusion of StAX and other neat JAXP 1.4 features. Right now it's about finding & fixing bugs. :)
I'm willing to send a bottle of Mendocino County biodynamic wine to the first few people who fix a bug. What does it mean to fix a bug?
What you do:
- pick a bug, any JAXP bug targeted for Mustang, special credit for regression bugs
- checkout the sources
- create a unit test
- make local modifications with the bug fix
- post the bug fix, a source diff, the unit test(s) and any information you think is relevant to the dev email list for community code review
What I do:
- checkin the fix to cvs once it's passed community review
- run TCK, SQE/A tests
- integrate into Mustang
- send you the wine
Now, I live in a juristiction who's laws I have to respect, so the offer is limited to shipping to a US address. In fact, I'll take it on good faith that it's OK to ship to the address you provide. If you're in town for JavaOne, it's personal delivery. :)
P.S. For all the Mustang Beta Blog activity see Mark Reinhold's Mustang Beta Blog Carnival!.
