First Post

Hello, This is my first time writing a Blog. I'm hoping that I'll be able to share my ideas on how to implement JCAPS and SOA architecture. Just to give you a bit of a background of myself. I work for Sun Microsystems as a Software Consultant specifically in the Java Composite Application Platform Suite. I was employed by STC (Software Technologies Corporation) way back in 1999, which soon after changed its name to SeeBeyond. A couple of years ago, SeeBeyond was purchased by Sun, hence I'm now a Sun Employee :) I've seen the JCAPS product evolve from version 3.6 where transformations were written in Monk - a scheme type language modified specifically for STC. Through to Version 4.5 where Java transformations were introduced to finally the ICAN/JCAPS suite where the implementation is completely java based. I've had over 8 years experience in the Integration Field as a Professional Services Consultant and have done many implementations for a number of customers in such fields as Finance and Banking, Manufacturing, Health, Utilities and Retail. I am hoping to note down my thoughts and ideas about integration, both with the use of jcaps and in architectural solutions which I am hoping will be product independent. Hopefully as time goes on, my writing will improve too.
