CHECK ID : 1872
SEVERITY : CRITICAL
PROBLEM : Cluster failover/switchover might fail because CCR files related to Resource Groups and/or Resource Types are missing or corrupted on a cluster node.
ANALYSIS :
A CCR file(s) related to Resource Groups and/or Resource Types for a node in this cluster
is missing or corrupt. Without these files, the proper node configuration can not be
determined. The node will fail to takeover a data service in the event that the node
mastering the service fails. During a failover, one of the remaining nodes will need to
bring up the data service so that clients can access that service. However, this is not
possible because the configuration parameters for this service are lost. This can lead to
a loss of service. On hostid 80b7df0c: The CCR file is missing for resource group jmt-rg.
On hostid 80b7df0c: The CCR files are missing for resource types SUNW.LogicalHostname:3,
SUNW.SharedAddress:2, SUNW.HAStoragePlus:6, and SUNW.nfs:3.2. On hostid 80cefe0b: The CCR
file is missing for resource group jmt-rg. On hostid 80cefe0b: The CCR files are missing
for resource types SUNW.LogicalHostname:3, SUNW.SharedAddress:2, SUNW.HAStoragePlus:6, and
SUNW.nfs:3.2.
RECOMMENDATIONS :
The following tables only require a reboot to be refreshed:
- rgm_rg_*
- rgm_rt_*
NOTE: Reboot the node and make it rejoin the cluster so that its
CCR gets refreshed with good tables from the existing cluster.
- init 0 or shutdown -y -g0 -i0
- ok> boot
OR
- init 6 or shutdown -y -g0 -i6
The node should rejoin the cluster on reboot.
NOTE: Before rebooting a node, it is always best to move any resource/device
groups from that node to another node in the cluster. The exact scswitch options used will depend on the cluster configuration.
a) Move Resource Group(s) (RG) between nodes
scswitch -z -g nfs-rg -h <dest node>
b) Move all RGs and Device Groups (DGs)
scswitch -S -h <source host>
