Liking Twitter for JavaOne

I'm liking Twitter in a major way for letting others know what I am doing at JavaOne, and for me keeping up with others as well. I'm sure I have more than 7 friends on Twitter, but I just haven't had the time to build my twitter network.

For me, the big question is will I still use it post-J1? I think so, albeit not with the same punch output (I like to watch boxing :-) ). Only time will tell.

No offense John but what the heck is twitter and why would anyone care about a minute by minute report of where you are?

Jim, Twitter has been a great way for those of us attending JavaOne to keep in sync with what each other is up to. Why should one care? Relationship building & networking. Since Twitter doesn't convey as much information in one shot, following various "Friends" gives a broader (but shallower) understanding of what your "Friend" is doing whereas blogs give an understand of an individuals take on a topic at greater depth.
