Valentines Day gifts - for the geek

I'm slurping away on my now-getting-cold Grande Latte when I notice a Fry's Electronics advertisement on the table next to me. Fry's Electronics is an electronics mega-mega-store. It's a supoer-Walmart for geeks. The advertisement is titled "Valentine's Day Gift Ideas", in pink no less. Under that are various sales, such as mother boards, RAM, monitors, laptops, etc.

I think I'll take the advertisement page home with me and leave it on the table. Maybe even circle the Video iPod. With that, I can show my wife a picture of a dozen roses. Win-win. Yeah, right :)

Rush hour is trailing off now. Time to head into the office for a customer thingy. Gotta go ...

Very nice ideia. Shame we don't have a Fry's Electronics in Portugal. It seems like geek heaven! :D Anyway, about those roses. Show her the picture but DON'T FORGET to buy the real thing! Trust me. ;)

Damn, you mean I still have to buy the *real* thing? :) OK, OK. Off to proflowers I go ...

Yes John, you DO have to buy the real thing and, be aware, my wife is a geek also so, if she says so, It's a geek saying it. BTW, this was Luz's first comment outside of my own weblog, ... It's only fair since you were the guilty one of putting me to blog :) "The Clingan Zone: The weblog for the Geek family" (How's that for a new slogan?)

I bought them :)

As for the slogan, I still like "fecal matter". It's just too darn inappropriate for a company blog :)
