Thursday Mar 26, 2009
Earlier today I sent out an announcement to all Specification Leads in the Java Community Process, which I'll paraphrase here:
There are two deadlines for JavaOne 2009 fast approaching. Since these deadlines involve web postings, they are only of interest is you are yourself a Spec Lead who plans to submit materials to be posted to the jcp.org web site before JavaOne this year, or are in close contact with such a Spec Lead (say, you're on an Expert Group).
First deadline: 29 April 2009
If you plan to submit materials for posting at any time before JavaOne, you need to send e-mail to the PMO at spec-submit (at jcp.org) letting us know of your plans on or before 29 April.
Second deadline: 13 May 2009
After you let us know when you'll submit, you need to submit all of your materials to spec-submit (at jcp.org) on or before 13 May 2009. Materials submitted after then may or may not be posted before JavaOne. It is unlikely that any postings will happen during the conference. Instructions for submitting materials for posting are found in the Spec Lead Guide online: http://jcp.org/en/resources/guide
