The first Bojug Meeting
I have been raving about the Java users group we created from God knows from how long.
Finally we have made some progress. A meeting has been organised at the Sun Microsystems office in Bangalore. Anurag Shekar and Rohan Ranade were kind enough to lend their expertise on Apache Derby a.k.a Java DB and Netbeans platform respectively. Look below more details. And, you are invited!. Do Sun servers really do what they promise ?
Joyent is a newage startup that offers applications as services to small businesses. It is known for its web 2.0 products. They have also won the "Best Office 2.0 Suite" award at the Office 2.0 Conference. They gave the Sun Fire T1000 Server and other servers a try. Here is a video of their experience. Quick 3D Fractal rendering facility?
Rendering a fractal is a tough task. So Don Casteel decided to use Sun Grid compute utlity to come up with his ows 3D fractals.
They look really cool take a look at this.
