The title is quite self-explaining ! KDE is now available on OpenSolaris thanks the hard work of Pavel (you know him from this blog), and Honza Hnatek. More details on http://www.genunix.org/, from Thur Aug 06 2009:
KDE on OpenSolaris has always been popular - but Suns' decision
to go with Gnome left the KDE community to fend for themselves - which
they have done with aplomb!
Today we are pleased to support the
OpenSolaris K Desktop Environment Project
and make available the
Korona live DVD distribution, based on OpenSolaris 2009.06, which boots right into KDE version 4.3 RC3.
After downloading, please verify the
checksums.
Project Korona details are
available here.
Many thanks to Pavel Heimlich (aka hajma) for his help with getting this content to Genunix.Org!
Please provide your feedback to the project authors. Remember - it's always nice to get a "Thank You" from a stranger.
