Last week I attended a workshop about the latest version of Carnegie Mellon's Alice educational software, Alice 3 Beta. The workshop was primarily for educators, but I was excited to have the opportunity to take part in the workshop! I thought Alice 2 was very cool -- Alice 3 is amazing! To learn more about Alice 3 -- check out the team's blog -- http://blog.alice.org/.

I just got back from a fabulous vacation to Hong Kong and the Philippines. It was my first trip to Southeast Asia and it was an amazing experience. Read about it at my blog:

Through My Eyes - A trip to Hong Kong & the Philippines

I am thankful to have had the opportunity to take this trip!

As I mentioned in my previous post I'm now working on Alice, BlueJ, and Greenfoot.  I have been having a lot of fun using these tools, learning more about the Java programming language, and working on ways to help more people learn about these technologies.

Alice was created by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, PA. The team at CMU is currently working on the third version of Alice that will eventually incorporate the SIMS characters from Electronic Arts.

Here is a link to a screencast of Alice 3 -- Our First Alice 3 Screencast -- that the CMU team just posted on the Alice blog.
