The ground has been moving a lot lately here in Japan, so I thought I'd check my handy little disaster kit hanging in the office (we all have one) to see what was inside. It's not much if the building comes down, but it's better than nothing, that's for sure. We have a bunch of supplies and stuff at home, too, just in case.
Yet another perfect situation for the Sun Ray!
The benefits of this platform make it a very wise choice for such a situation.
- centralized data storage and processing makes maintaining the over all network much easier and more likely resilient to natural disaster
- Individual unit failure is much easier to replace and get back running again, very important in such a mission critical environment
- Reduced power demand
- Roaming user accounts/environments so that people can move from terminal to terminal with ease and pick right back up where they left off
I'm very glad to see increased adoption of this framework, great job!
