I often complain about how crowded the trains are in Tokyo. Sometimes I even take my camera along for kicks. But things have improved massively in recent years. Check out this mail I found today on the Tokyo Linux User Group list -- [tlug] [OT] Pre-Flextime & Automatic Ticket Gates. The first video, which was from 1991, in that mail is utterly jaw dropping.
