Spain OpenSolaris Portal Opens
The Spain OpenSolaris Portal today: http://es.opensolaris.org/.
That makes six portals open and six to go in the first batch of
projects we started earlier this year. See the portal project
for more information and the i18n list
for portal discussions. Also, what's cool here is that the Spain
OpenSolaris User Group is using the Spanish Portal as their home web
space. Also, the Japan OpenSolaris User Group is using the Japan
Portal, and French OpenSolaris User Group is using the French Portal.
So, the portals are starting to serve their purpose, and project
leaders are starting to come together. Not everyone can have a portal,
of course, but at least for the those user groups in regions where a
country/language portal also exists, there is a nice mechanism for
consolidation and collaboration.
