Jim, is the 'bubbles' graphic now the standard - or is it still draft? There are many others like me on the advocacy groups who do not think it properly represents OpenSolaris.

Using it this way at the summit - is this for judging the reaction of the community or is it now officially the representative graphic?

Dont get me wrong here, its great to see the Developer Summit happening, I am a staunch supporter of Solaris and OpenSolaris ! ;-)

Cheers

hey ... well, it's the graphic for the Summit. So, in that sense, yes, it's official (whatever that means). The "bubbles" are part of the branding of the OpenSolaris distribution, yes, so they are official as well. There was some discussion about the branding for the distribution on the lists a while back, and so I think these things will evolve a bit over time. I think it's a good first attempt, though. I'm going to pull both graphics down on Tues, though, since both the Summit and Community will be over. Then I think I'll put up the graphic for the next OpenSolaris conference -- OSDevCon: http://www.osdevcon.org/2008/. I don't intend to put favor one distro over another graphically in the ACG because I think the ACG should be about the entire community and not just one distro, but if someone is having a conference and they have produced graphics, I think we ought to highlight them, don't you think? That's all I'm trying to do. Generate some buzz for the upcoming events. Sound reasonable?
