I did a little talk on OpenSolaris and gave out some OpenSolaris Starter Kits. Great fun. Great group. More pics here from Nguyen Hung Vu

I'm the proud owner of one of those! I'm definitely planning on trying it out. I have a lonely machine that I could try it on today, but it's a C-700, 256MB box, so I'm wondering if that's viable at all.... Lyle

I also grabbed a Starter Kit, though I need to turn it over to Erin. I'm planning to drop it on a Dell server box I have at work before that happens, though. Will keep you posted on how it goes, albeit most likely on the TLUG list.

Lyle ... try one of the live CDs first. I think trying to install Solaris Express with only 256 megs of memory would be quite painful. With the GUI, you really should have a gig. yes the install needs work, and it's being worked on. Check out this project: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/ Josh ... cool ... I'll bring more to the next meeting. Sorry about that. :)
