There is only one week left to vote in the OpenSolaris community elections. All the information is at the OGB's website. If you are a Core Contributor, go vote. There are 16 people running for the OGB with only three candidates who are members of the current board. I like that the vast majority of candidates are not from the current board. Unlike most Americans, I don't believe politicians should be elected over and over and over and over again (and so on) -- which is exactly what happens in the U.S. So, the large number of non-pols (meaning current board members) running this time around is good. Fresh meat. I'm looking forward to being a non-pol myself, actually. Back to the farm to work. Was that Jefferson's bit? One of those guys. Also, on the ballot this year is a new OpenSolaris Constitution. Give it a read and give it your vote.

By the way, we are giving two weeks to vote. Can you imagine having two weeks to vote in the U.S. elections?
