Gartner says "Sun has highest growth rate in units shipped"
As per Gartner, Sun has the highest growth rate in terms of units shipped (38.4%). While Dell has the highest growth rate in revenue (20.1%).
So how do you interpret this result? Sun is selling more at a cheaper price.
So who is getting more benefit? Sun Customers of course.
Way to go.
I am a Sun fan but this does not keep me from being realistic. Sun may grow a lot in terms of percents because it used to ship very few Intel boxes. So , to make it extreme, if you grow from selling 10 servers to selling 20 this would be 100% growth. That doesn't make you a big player (yet).
That said the direction seems good to me so keep it going
