Hello, World. So, as is obligatory, I'll start off with a bit about myself. Hopefully this will help Google lead you here if you used to know me, or know people or places I know. Please mail me at jer@sun.com if you think you do. I grew up in Bellevue, Washington, just outside of Seattle, and graduated from Bellevue High in 1992. I graduated in Computer Science from U. C. Berkeley in 1997, and have worked at Microsoft (on Excel 4.0 and 5.0), Netscape (on Netcenter), ThinkLink, and Scale Eight. I've worked here at Sun as a softare engineer on Honeycomb since it really got going in June of 2003, when Steve Waterhouse hired a pile of great people in a single month and started to turn his pretty amazing idea into reality. I'm currently a programmer on, and the software development manager for Honeycomb. Our team works in downtown San Francisco, which is my favorite of the U.S. cities I've lived in or visited. I see no reason to leave. Ever. Honeycomb recently got some great press. Here are links to some of the articles: I'll tell you more about Honeycomb later. I'm heading out to check out Sideways, which I've heard is a pretty good movie. Stay tuned... (2005-01-04 20:28:11.0) Permalink Comments [1] |
