I am sick - and forced to stay at home... I can't stay too long in front of my computer because it doesn't really improve my headache, but if I rotate from book to couch to computer I can still manage to stay in touch with what's going out outside while recovering, resting, and focusing on getting better. Last week, while I was still happily walking around in good health, I attended my third watercolor lesson. The teacher showed us some tricks and examples to draw beautifully clouded skies. Here is my work:
I was quite happy with it and decided to frame it. But the frame I bought was a little too small, so I had to clip my drawing to fit it in the frame. But after it was cut, I suddenly realized I had cut out too much of the sky! The picture had much more relief and contrast before it was cut. I should have cut only the bottom part of the drawing - it would have been much better! Now my beautiful sky is lost forever... Yet, it's not too bad. And I've learned something more: next time I'll buy a bigger frame. Something like I used for my first aquarelle... Cheers, Posted by dfuchs ( Dec 07 2006, 02:21:08 PM CET ) Permalink Comments [0] |
