JMX, SNMP, Java, etc...Daniel Fuchs blogs on JMX, SNMP, Java, etc... |
I promise, next time I'll blog about Java. I'm currently deep in the writing of an advanced JMX example and you'll hear about it soon... In the mean time I'm proud to announce that my guest swallows have hatched. When I came back from work this evening, I noticed some white blops of suspicous shape on my balcony... Some kind of conic bullets? Who's been bombarding my flat??? Well nothing like that: to my great surprise I discovered... ... egg shells! They are roughly 1cm in diameter, and from the number I gathered, there must be at least 4 little birds. Welcome guys! Beware of the neighbor's cat! I am a happy man!-- daniel Update! Here are the little guys. But they're no birdies. They're just big bleating beaks on wet feathers. Sad Update: Only one out of the four little birds has survided. I found three of them dead. I don't know whether they tried to fly too soon, or whether they were pushed from the nest. The good news is that the survivor seems in quite good health, and will probably soon spread its wings and take to the sky! The birds are gone... They left during the last week of August. I don't know exactly where their migration will take them. When I think how much distance this just born little bird is going to cover on its first journey to warmer countries! I hope they all come back safely for next spring!Tags: Posted by dfuchs ( Jul 21 2006, 11:30:29 PM CEST ) Permalink Comments [0] |
